War Machine (mixed martial artist)
War Machine (born Jonathan Paul Koppenhaver, November 30, 1981) is an American professional mixed martial artist, and pornographic actor.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://boxing.nv.gov/2008%20Results/05-24-08%20MMA.pdf )〕 In MMA, he competes in the welterweight division. He was a fighter on the The Ultimate Fighter: Team Hughes vs. Team Serra as part of Team Serra.
In 2008, he legally changed his name to "War Machine." He is currently being held in High Desert State Prison, Nevada, on assault and attempted murder charges.
==Early life==
Koppenhaver was born in Simi Valley, California. His German-American father was an officer for the Los Angeles Police Department and his Mexican mother worked as a nurse, but she later became a work-at-home mother. Due to his mother's drug addiction, Koppenhaver would often take care of his younger brother and sister.〔 When he was thirteen, Koppenhaver unsuccessfully performed CPR on his father, only to witness him die during the process.
In August 2000, Koppenhaver attended The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, for two years before being expelled for "poor behavior".〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.ufc.com/fighter/Jon-Koppenhaver/ )〕 While attending, he majored in biology.〔 In an interview, War Machine claimed that he had been earning high marks at The Citadel.〔
